Fridah Karimi – is a Program Manager with over 22 years’ experience and with her leadership and direction of UN’s Joint Programme in Local Governance
program, she has demonstrated her ability to manage and develop dynamic systems that have achieved exceptional results in Somalia, promoting effective local governance, as well as working in Kenya and Sudan. Ms. Karimi is known for her clear, consistent, and committed vision. Fridah brings a wide range of skills in program management, financial and grant management, budget management, people management and capacity building, and communication, operations, and administration. She has extensive experience in joint programming in post-conflict contexts, preparing letters of agreements with governments, donor funding
administration, representing program management in various meetings, and preparing financial and donor reports. Additionally, Fridah has developed financial tracking and monitoring systems for donor funds, coached, and provided induction for staff and government counterparts, and ensured compliance with internal control frameworks and UN and donors regulations. Her extensive experience in procurement, logistics, and recruitment, as well as her ability to maintain inventories and manage diverse projects, make her a valuable addition to any team.
