Peter Durito – Acacia Dialogue Center
Partnership and Programs Advisor

Peter Durito is a seasoned peacebuilding and development practitioner with over fifteen years of experience in the design, implementation & management of development, humanitarian and conflict sensitivity programming. He has a strong background in conflict analysis, policy analysis, research, and institutional/partner development. Peter is an adjunct faculty at Daystar University in the department of peace and international studies. Previously, he was the fundraising and partnerships advisor for DLCI, program director for Hope Without Borders, a Political analyst for the Canadian High Commission, and a Coordinator for peacebuilding at ALARM-Kenya. Peter is an author of a book chapter on environmental justice in a book titled β€˜The African Church and Covid 19.’ He has published articles on environmental conflict, natural resource and diplomacy as well as contributed to additional publications on resilience and peacebuilding. He is an excellent facilitator with experience in designing capacity building training and workshops to a broad range of partners and stakeholders. Peter is a PhD candidate in International Studies at the University of Nairobi. He holds a Masters of Arts in International Conflict Management from the University of Nairobi, and a B.A in Community Development from Daystar University.
